Nursery Practitioners

All members of staff are fully dedicated and sensitive to the needs of the children. We are all trained in Emergency Pediatric First Aid, Universal Safeguarding, Child Protection Training, Fire Safety and Food Safety.  Our qualified Nursery Nurses are trained up to level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Child Care. (CYPW and EYE).

All staff wear name badges and bear our logo – a lion. Managers can be identified by their navy polo shirts, Senior staff by their light blue polo shirts.  Our Nursery staff wear grey sweatshirts and lilac polo shirts.

All children are allocated a key person who has special responsibilities for giving your child the reassurance to feel safe and cared for.  Notice boards in each room help identify the whereabouts of staff.

The ratio of staff to children is as follows:

1:3 for babies/toddlers 3 months – 2 years
1:4 for children 2 years – 3 years
1:8 for children 3 years – 5 years.

The Nursery is staffed according to the number of children present. These ratios allow for adequate care even during staff’s lunch breaks, sickness periods and short holidays.
