Assessment

We use an online program called Tapestry which allows both parents and Nursery staff to add information about your child’s progress. Parents and Nursery staff can upload photographs of drawings, and other products your child has made and we can all share their achievements or exciting news from home or from Nursery. These observations are important because;

  • They allow us to plan the next stage of their future learning and development.

  • They help to develop good relationships with children and their parents.

  • They help us to base appropriate play and learning experiences around the children’s interests and needs, and identify any concerns about their development.

  • They help us to understand their unique and individual rate and pace of learning.

We welcome parent’s input as it helps us build a good picture of your child’s interests and needs, allowing us to discuss further and focus on their future development.

The Nursery’s records of the development of your child are available to you at all times. Staff are always happy to discuss these records with you, welcoming parents input to help us build a really good picture of each child’s individual interests and needs.

Welfare
We consider health and safety of each child of upmost importance and each child is allocated a ‘key person’ when they first start at the Nursery.  This ‘key person’ will ensure that your child feels individually cared for. Children’s meals are cooked on site every day by our qualified cook. We use fresh fruit and vegetables and source meat locally. We cater for all allergies and dietary requirements.
